G$ is ready to takeover

In MAGAZINE on November 6, 2013 at 1:56 pm

Duplin County, North Carolina bred an ambitious and authentic storyteller in hip-hop artist, G$. As a child, Gary Montgomery was both academically and athletically inclined. Although a budding future in sports brewed from a young age, his passion for music simmered slowly until in his teenage years. With the influence of his older cousins and a gradual cultivation for a desire to perfect his craft, Gary was destined to showcase his natural talent for freestyling. Lyrics flowed from his mouth with ease, and he haphazardly became known throughout the town as rapper G$.

opmqaa.jpg
In its infancy, G$’s career began in a group with his cousin, Pook Nado, known as the Young Bucks. The dynamic duo effortlessly carved their niche in the local underground hip-hop scene. As the pair matured and deviated from their unified mission, G$ diligently pursued a solo career in music, eventually landing a deal with North Carolina-based independent label, 11 Entertainment. Opening for prominent headliners like Rick Ross and Fat Joe generated more buzz, as his name began to ring in the North Carolina underground circuit. His charismatic demeanor allows him to network effortlessly with major artists, as G$ continues to promote his music and evolve his craft.
Creating relatable stories is the motivation behind his music, delving into the lifestyles of listeners with similar mentalities, struggles, and circumstances. His unwavering confidence resonates in his delivery, as he recounts the accounts of his own life. G$ maximizes the opportunity to share his passion and his life with the world through his music, as he embarks on the next chapter of his career as an entertainer, an artist, and a storyteller. Currently collaborating with label mate Marc Law on one project while simultaneously creating music for his own solo album, G$ persistently pursues unyielding success in the music industry, constantly progressing with each project and expanding his brand toward regional and national recognition.

IS IT SNITCHING IF YOU SNITCH ON YOURSELF?

Man Accidentally Pocket Dials 911 and Tells on Himself
Police detectives often spend months, even years, searching for the assailants in criminal cases. Then there are other instances where the scott simonalleged criminal implicates himself and just seems fated for arrest.

One Florida man hadn’t even committed a crime when he mistakenly pocket dialed 911 and revealed that he was planning a murder.

Authorities say Scott Simon, 24, can be heard on a recorded 911 call from May 5th saying he’s going to follow Nicholas Romondo Walker, 33, and kill him. After the murder, police were able to link the 911 call for the death of Walker. The call was made just minutes before Walker’s death. Police have arrested Simon and charged him with first degree murder.

Walker reportedly entered I-95 when he was shot multiple times, causing him to crash on the highway. Investigators say they don’t think Simon pulled the trigger in the shooting, but that he orchestrated the hit on Walker.

Police believe an argument at Waffle House led to the shooting. Authorities reviewed surveillance video from Waffle House on the night of the argument and interviewed people who witnessed the argument between Walker and Simon.

Both Simon and Walker have previous arrests. Walker has 19 previous arrests, including cocaine possession, distribution, grand theft, resisting arrest and driving violations. Simon’s 15 previous arrests  include fraud and cocaine possession.

Walker’s mother said she’s “very happy” about the arrest.

Police are still looking for two other men in the video who may have been connected to the shooting.

Welp my friend….dont drop the soap!

Over at BIG IN DA STREET MAG we don’t condone snitching but if you must, please only snitch on yourself.

His Outta Your Mind 2010 video, which features LMFAO, was filmed around the Fontainebleau pool, at Nikki Beach, Ocean Drive, and other Miami Beach hotspots. According to his latest tweets, the rapper turned Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice began soaking in Miami sunshine on a yacht shortly after arriving on Tuesday. Maybe if you shake it like a salt shaker he’ll invite you to board his boat. Cheesy 2003 reference?

High court reject’s rapper C-Murder’s appeal

In MAGAZINE on February 19, 2013 at 4:27 pm

The Supreme Court has passed up another chance to deal with an anomaly of constitutional law that requires federal juries to reach unanimous verdicts in criminal cases, but allows states to make different rules.

The court on Tuesday rejected the appeal of the rapper known as C-Murder, who is serving a life sentence for killing a 16-year-old fan in Louisiana. A jury voted 10-2 to convict the rapper, whose real name is Corey Miller.

Louisiana and Oregon are the only two states that allow for non-unanimous convictions for some crimes.

The justices recently have rejected similar appeals asking them to treat state and federal trials equally. Decisions involving gun rights and other issues generally require states to extend the same constitutional rights as the federal government.
